VRoid will partner with the game Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist (scheduled for release on April 5) to allow players to use their favorite 3D avatars as in-game characters

pixiv Inc. (hereafter referred to as "pixiv", Office: Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shingo Kunieda), the developer of the 3D character creation software VRoid Studio, has partnered with Flamebait Games (Skövde, Sweden) on their drawing and adventure game Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist (hereafter referred to as "Passpartout 2"), to create a system where players can use 3D Vroid avatars (VRM format) in the game. The game will go on sale on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. In addition, to commemorate the release of Passpartout 2, a raffle giveaway campaign will be launched where fans can win prizes such as a mobile motion capture device (mocopi).

Passpartout 2, developed by Flamebait Games, turns drawing into an adventure game as players draw pictures in order to advance the story. The game is the sequel to Passpartout: Starving Artist, which is highly popular in the video game streaming community.

This partnership incorporates the game development tool VRoid SDK, which will allow players to use 3D avatars they created in VRoid Studio when they play Passpartout 2. This function allows VTubers to use their own 3D models as player characters in the game, opening up new possibilities for streaming.

Players who already have 3D models can use them in the game, and players who have never created a 3D model can use VRoid Studio to enjoy creating a 3D avatar of their own.

*Players can also use VRM-format models that they made with a program other than VRoid Studio.

Players are encouraged to use their favorite 3D avatars to enjoy the world of Passpartout 2.

pixiv will continue to fulfill its mission of "building an exciting space for everyone to enjoy creative activities" by continuing to develop the VRoid project.
